This staircase was designed as a free standing structure to allow light to filter through. The quality of joinery gives a timeless dimension to this contemporary design. The slats divide the room but house the staircase and it is this sense of hidden planes and revelation which is carried throughout the project. The project unites a bold contemporary flair with the restraints of conservation.
